Anointing of the Sick
Any baptized Catholic who has reached the age of reason (usually around seven years old) can receive this sacrament if he or she is gravely ill and in danger of death. Many Catholics also request the Anointing of the Sick before major surgery. Elderly Catholics who are experiencing the frailty and health challenges of old age are also welcome to receive the Anointing. The sacrament may be received more than once, even during the same illness if it progresses in seriousness.
Contact the parish office at 812-339-5561 to schedule a visit for the Anointing of the Sick. Ongoing visits to care centers or the home bound can also be arranged. To learn more about Anointing of the Sick from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, click

Marriage
There are a number of programs available to couples contemplating matrimony. Marriage is a Sacrament, a unique vocation in the Church, and a public witness of Christian commitment and love. The St. Paul preparation program is a blend of the sacred and the practical aspects of marriage. Contact the parish office at 812-339-5561 to pick up a marriage preparation booklet and to make arrangements.
Engaged couples must complete one of the
Pre-Cana courses available through the Archdiocese or the MR & MRS program offered through St. Paul Catholic Center. Both programs cover Marriage as a Sacrament, finances, families of origin, communication, and Natural Family Planning. Pre-Cana courses are offered multiple times throughout the year. The MR & MRS program is offered once a year (usually in April).
