Open Hearts, Open Hands: Welcome
Dear Fellow Parishioners,
Welcome to an exciting time in the life of St. Paul Catholic Center!
Over the next few months our parish will embark on a stewardship
campaign called "Open Hearts, Open Hands" in conjunction with an
archdiocesan campaign. The overall goal is to help our parish live
more fully into our calling to be a Catholic presence to Indiana
University, the surrounding community, and the world.
So, why do we need a stewardship campaign? Why now?
The parish is growing, the number of ministries is increasing, and
the life of the church is vibrant! However, with the blessings of an
expanding community and our abundant ministries, we have outgrown
our facilities. We continually face the problem of limiting the
scope of our ministry because of the confines of building space.
Plus, these services and emerging ministries require more people to
become involved in the life of the church. Yes, the need is great!
After October's parish-wide meetings the Pastoral Council
prayerfully met to decide the campaign goals, which are outlined
below. The success of this stewardship campaign will depend on how
each of us responds to the gifts God has given us with "open hearts
and open hands."
On this webpage there are links to a comprehensive case statement, a
detailed breakdown of the financial goals of the campaign, answers
to frequently asked questions, and educational opportunities.
Please join us in prayerfully considering our commitment to God and
to one another. How will we, as individuals and a parish, openly
give of ourselves--our time, talent, and treasure?
In the Peace of Christ,
The Leadership Team
