Supporting various groups and persons in transition:
- Teams of Our Lady: an international movement
of married couples promoting spirituality through small groups of
couples. Meet monthly to share a meal, fellowship, prayer, and
discuss a study topic. Married couples of any age are welcome.
Meet in members' homes, and are casual.
- The Marriage Preparation Program: Marriage is
a Sacrament, a unique vocation in the Church, and a public witness
of Christian commitment and love. The St. Paul preparation program
is a blend of the sacred and the practical aspects of marriage.
The process includes:
- Sponsor Couples/Marriage Preparation: pairs an engaged couple with an experienced married couple. Meet four or five times to discuss all aspects of married life.
- MR and MRS: Marriage Readiness and Marriage Ripening Seminars range from finances to communication to Natural Family Planning to parenting. Skilled parish members share their expertise and facilitate discussion. Offered autumn and spring; dates and times posted in the bulletin, on the website, and available through our office.
- Marriage as a Sacrament: a single
presentation of the Catholic understanding of the nature of
sacrament and how marriage is one of the Seven Sacraments of the
Church.
- Home Visitors & Eucharistic Ministers:
parishioners who bring comfort, concern, and the Sacrament of
Eucharist to homebound members. Visits scheduled between
parishioner and visitor. Visitors are trained and given spiritual
support.
- Retired/Senior Citizens: gather for fun, fellowship and spiritual formation for the "more mature" members of the parish. Events scheduled periodically, include lunches, days of reflection, and discussions.
